JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Steward is to support the cleanliness and efficiency of kitchen operations by assisting with dishwashing, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Assist in managing kitchen supplies, including restocking and organizing storage areas.
  • Help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized throughout service.
  • Properly dispose of waste and recyclables, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Support chefs and servers during peak hours by providing necessary supplies and maintaining workflow.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with team members to enhance overall service quality and efficiency.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
