The Assistant Steward is to support the cleanliness and efficiency of kitchen operations by assisting with dishwashing, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Assist in managing kitchen supplies, including restocking and organizing storage areas.
- Help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized throughout service.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Support chefs and servers during peak hours by providing necessary supplies and maintaining workflow.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- Work closely with team members to enhance overall service quality and efficiency.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- 1+ years of experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
